Abstract

Over 50 different agarics, boleti and their relatives, 4 earthballs and a species of Pisolithus have been found associated with dipterocarps, in the locality of the Forest Research Institute at Kepong in Peninsular Malaysia. Over half of them are catalogued below with notes of similar species from the Forest Reserve at Pasoh, Negri Sembilan. Tables are provided connecting fungi to suspected hosts; over half have been identified as species whereas the rest have been assigned to specific sections or stirps. Some of the observations have been extended to communities in the hills around Kuala Lumpur. This is the first such list for Peninsular Malaysia.
