Abstract

Transplanted seedlings of Eucalyptus tereticornis were inoculated with six arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (Gigaspora margarita, Glomus deserticola, G. fasciculatum, G. monosporum, G. mosseae and G. versiforme) individually as well as in combinations with Azospirillum. The results indicated that inoculation of AM fungi or Azospirillum increased the growth, biomass, root colonisation and tissue N, P and K concentrations. Significant responses were observed in plants inoculated with Glomus versiforme or Gigaspora margarita in conjunction with Azospirillum.
